Getting your haircut while in a fire truck chair? That’s what new Michigan salon offers kids

PHOTOS: A new hair salon for kids features character cars for chairs, TVs and video games.

Sharkey’s Cuts for Kids, located at 2359 Health Dr. SW in Wyoming, aims to create a enjoyable environment for children.

“That’s the biggest thing that we’re trying to do here at Sharkey’s, is (to) create a fun atmosphere, a fun experience for kids to come and want to get their hair cut and for parents to enjoy bringing their kids to get their hair cut,” Emily Tornblom, co-owner of Sharkey’s Cuts for Kids, told MLive on video Thursday, Jan. 27.

Character cars as salon chairs include a fighter jet, a fire truck, police car and Disney princess Jeep Wrangler. There are Xbox’s and PlayStations for older children to play for free as well as flat screen TVs with access to ESPN, Disney+ and Hulu.
