An Austin-area landowner offered billionaire SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk free land to use as Twitter’s new headquarters in an effort to get Musk to move the social media giant from California to Texas.

Jim Schwertner tweeted the offer to Musk after Twitter announced it had accepted the tech CEO’s $44 billion bid to purchase the platform.

“Elon Musk, Move Twitter to Schwertner, TX. 38 Miles North of Austin in Williamson County, and we will give you 100 Acres for FREE,” Schwertner wrote.

According to Austonia, Schwertner manages a farming and ranching operation on 20,000 acres of land north of Georgetown in Williamson and Bell County.

Schwertner said Twitter would bring jobs to Texas and help boost the economy, making his 100-acre offer a “win-win for everybody.”

“We think it’s a good idea, especially when you’ve got Samsung coming to Taylor,” Schwertner said. “I mean, this area is exploding and we want to be part of this explosive growth.”

Musk already has three companies headquartered in Texas: Telsa, SpaceX and the Boring Company.

“I just think with all the stuff he’s done, he evidently likes Texas, right or he wouldn’t have moved from California,” Schwertner continued. “And I want to be part of his plan if he’ll come visit with us.”

“We’ve always been entrepreneurs in our family and we’ve always tried to help the communities,” he added. “And I think my offer is a serious gesture to help the citizens around Williamson County.”

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott shared the proposition on his own Twitter account, promising to declare the area a “Free Speech Zone” if Musk takes the offer.

“Texas man offers Elon Musk 100 acres of FREE land to move Twitter’s headquarters. I will declare it a “Free Speech Zone,” Abbott tweeted. “Maybe we can rename it Twitter, Texas. Think about it @elonmusk.”

Twitter announced on Monday that it will be acquired by Musk in a deal which values Twitter stock at $54.20 per share and was unanimously approved by the Twitter Board of Directors.

“Free speech is the bedrock of a functioning democracy, and Twitter is the digital town square where matters vital to the future of humanity are debated,” Musk said in a statement about the purchase. “I also want to make Twitter better than ever by enhancing the product with new features, making the algorithms open source to increase trust, defeating the spam bots, and authenticating all humans. Twitter has tremendous potential – I look forward to working with the company and the community of users to unlock it.”
