Being a firefighter requires a certain amount of mental and physical strength. Letâs face it: They donât put these guys and gals on calendars for no reason.
But itâs a part of the job Hygiene firefighter Dylan Miraglia takes more seriously than some.
âItâs a physical job, itâs a blue-collar job,â Miraglia said. Miraglia said heâs always dreamed of setting a world weightlifting record and stumbled upon a challenge while flipping through the Guinness Book of World Records.âYou have to be strong, and thatâs one of the aspects of the job.â When Miragliaâs not working, you can usually find him working out in a small gym tucked behind the rural Boulder County fire station.
âIâve been weightlifting my whole life, and thereâs not a day where Iâm going to take off and relax, itâs just a part of me,â he said.
